Free Baby Storytime at Roxborough Library, Oct. 21
Mr. Rich leads songs, read-aloud stories, rhymes, and dancing for babies and toddlers, then the kids get playtime with soft, baby-safe toys. It's held outdoors, so dress for the weather, and caregivers stay with their little ones. Check the Roxborough branch calendar at the link for registration requirements or weather changes. The session is Wednesday, October 21 at 10:30am.

Free Classes and Events at New York Public Library
Classes, workshops, book clubs, and live performances run year-round at NYPL branches and online, with programs for toddlers through seniors. Browse the calendar at nypl.org, filter by branch, age, or format, and show up or register where required. Some programs cap attendance or need advance signup, and offerings differ by location.
Free Surplus Books from Library of Congress for Groups
Eligible organizations can receive surplus books from the Library of Congress at no cost, distributed through Rep. Kim Schrier's office. To apply, email SchrierBooks@mail.house.gov with details about your organization. It looks aimed at educational and nonprofit groups rather than individuals, so personal requests probably won't qualify.
Free Events and Workshops at Boston Public Library
Talks, workshops, and other events at the Central Library in Copley Square cost nothing to attend, with no purchase required. Browse the schedule at bpl.org/signature-programs and check each event's page, since some may ask you to register ahead of time. The program list changes regularly, so what's on depends on when you go.
