Man, there is so much free stuff at Target lately. I can’t believe the deals that are out there. You have to be careful though… it seems like cashiers have a bad rap for being moody and and all over the board as far their coupon policy goes.

Without further audieu, here’s the list of free stuff you can get a Target this week:

General Mills Single-Serve Cereal Cups  – You use the $1.00 off General Mills Cereal Coupon from Target and use it on General Mills single serve cups on sale for $0.99 until 9/12/09. There have been reports of people printing 6-12 of these coupons and getting a bunch of single serve cups free. I think Target only wants you to use one coupon, but some cashiers will push multiple through, so try it out! Thanks for this tip DealSeekingMom. You can also get General Mills coupons for Honey Nut Cheerios from the Pillsbury coupons available this month.

Purina Dog Food – To get this deal, you combine the Target coupon good for $1.50 off Purina Dog food with a $3.50 off coupon you’ll find on the Purina website. To find out more details about this deal, visit the Free Purina Dog Food blog post.

Sharpie Highlighters – Check out the $1.00 off coupon Sharpie highlighters coupon (PDF). It’s legitimate and you can print it as many times as you want. Apparently, highlighters are on sale for just $0.99, so they are 100% free.

1 lb of Apples – On the Organic Deals Coupon Generator, you can still print free coupons that haven’t expired yet for Target. There’s currently a coupon good for $1.00 off 1 lb of apples. The last report I heard was that apples aren’t anymore than $1.00 per pound anyway. Viola, it’s free!

Skittles Cores – Same thing, using the Organic Deals Coupon Generator, you can get a coupon for $1.00 off Skittles Cores (a new form of Skittles). They are on sale for $0.53, so these are free with a possible overage.

Money Saving Mom also has several other items you can get on the cheap along with the freebies listed here.

You can’t-or aren’t supposed to be able to use a coupon at target that’s more than the product being bought. The cashiers that do so are risking being coached and written up. If you find a newbie that doesn’t know better & you want to go for it, that’s up to you, but to tell people it’s possible is a little reckless, for then and the person who probably needs that job.

Does anyone else have comments about this? I really don’t know what the rules are from Target, as they don’t really publish them. I do know from the blogosphere that many are troubled by cashiers who won’t take their coupons, especially to stackable ones to get things free.
