The website owner doesn’t have the time or equipment to take photos that look professional and suitable for use. Instead, they just visit Shutterstock and quickly grab what images they need.
Here is where you and the money come in, all you amateur photographers. Shutterstock lets you send them your photos for review. If they accept any of your photos, they are added to Shutterstock’s photo database . When a member of Shutterstock downloads your image to use, you get paid 25 cents per image! If you work at submitting a good number of images, this could add up.
